Writing Accountability Group

2025-26 WAG

• Sessions beginning October 7, 2025

• Fee-free academic writing group open to leadership scholars and graduate students (currently limited to 8 participants)

• Collaborative, supportive environment

• Meet on 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month, 11:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Eastern

• Commitment to group expectations required

• Please only apply if you anticipate being able to attend 80% of sessions

• Applications open through September 30, November 30, March 30 for participation (link below)

Group Expectations & Commitments

• Attending meetings regularly, staying engaged, and participating actively

• Honestly reporting on progress, challenges, and setbacks

• Following through on commitments made to the group

• Maintaining confidentiality regarding other members' work-in-progress

• Respecting different writing processes and productivity levels

• Supporting fellow members through encouragement and problem-solving

• Communicating professionally and constructively at all times

• Celebrating others' achievements and milestones

• Offering assistance when members face writing obstacles

• Sharing relevant resources (articles, tools, opportunities) with the group

• Contributing to a positive, motivating group atmosphere

• Providing advance notice of any changes to availability or commitment level

Honoring Flexibility & Respect

• Understanding that life happens - we're all adults managing complex schedules, family needs, and unexpected circumstances

• Respecting personal boundaries regarding camera use, participation level, and availability

• No judgment for occasional absences, camera-off days, or varying energy levels

• Assuming positive intent and supporting each other through busy or difficult periods

By participating in this group, members agree to uphold these expectations while recognizing that flexibility and mutual understanding are essential for a sustainable, supportive environment.
